Check out this wooden TV stand that recently made its way to the shabby shop for a shabby makeover! Lovely client Nicole and her hubby scored it from a friend who was about to pitch it! #winning
It had been painted in some sort of what appeared to be white primer. It didn't have full coverage of color and there was ugly green showing through.....which could be seen on the shelf inserts....it was a hot mess...
After consulting about colors and styles, the team of Antique Lace & Black Velvet Junk Monkey Paint were called upon! Now to execute the job.....with just a little light distressing on the edges....
So here's what we arrived at.....a little black dress with a little lace peeking through! (Shown above) What do you think?
Well the story doesn't end there........the couple decided to be brave and go for MoReeee distressing......and here is the 2nd look that won out!
This about-to-be-tossed stand had so much potential! One person's junk really is another's treasure! It went to it's new home this past weekend to be loved and adored!
If you had to pick, which makeover would you say yes to? Sophisticated black with peeking lace, or full on distressed beauty? Decisions...decisions....:) #thepowerofpaint #shabbylove #onestandtwolooks
